  • The Art of Buttercream

  • Featured in the Irish Times Magazine in April 2019, I have five years experience creating edible centrepieces. My speciality is tall buttercream cakes that taste as good as they look! Every cake is unique, and I love capturing personal elements in my creations. I'm self taught, having invested many (many!) hours in online courses and learning, as well as a relentless determination to conquer the more refined or challenging aspects of cake making. I'm really passionate about what I do and always looking for how I can improve my business, and make the experience of ordering a custom cake as easy and fun as possible. I take great pride in making my cakes from scratch, from the macarons and meringues, to fruit purees, lemon curd, salted caramel and more. I only use top quality ingredients such as whole fruits, Madagascan vanilla bean paste and Belgian chocolate and cocoa, to get the best possible flavour in my sponges and fillings. Design and a wow factor are definitely important (hello Insta!), but quality and flavour is what brings back so many of my lovely customers who now come to me for every family celebration. I love building that connection with people, and feel incredibly honoured to be a part of each one of their celebrations. If you're interested in ordering from me, I always love chatting cake! Please note I don't use fondant to cover/decorate my cakes, and my minimum number of portions is 30.
